My name is Nathan Shakura, a Toronto-based designer and M.Arch (’26) graduate from the University of Toronto. My practice is driven by the conviction that architecture is a social act, centered on the tangible impact design has on the communities and societies that move through our built environment.
I am particularly interested in how materiality and adaptive reuse can be leveraged to foster positive social change. I feel at home in the rewarding process of turning abstract ideas into tactile, material reality from the first sketch to the final construction detail, and I look forward to enjoying that process with you.
